The members of the Greensboro Volunteer Fire Company would like to Thank Choptank Electric Cooperative's Operation Round-Up and Choptank Electric Trust for the grant which assisted with the upgrades our Hurst rescue system. The Upgrades included the new streamline one piece connection system for all the rescue tools, and a new JL-MOC II cutter. While Specialty Rescue, Inc were installing the new streamline connector system we found out our original spreaders approximately 35 years old failed the pressure test. Chief Bambary placed the spreaders out of service and met with the Board of Directors, who approved the emergency replacement of the spreaders with a new ML-28 Defender spreader. Chief Bambary and the Members of the Department would like to thank Allen Reese and Don Nash of Specialty Rescue Inc. for working with the department on this project.
