At 0935 hours units were dispatched to 111 Maple Ave. in Goldsboro, for a gas leak with possible explosion. E-703 arrived and reported heavy fire showing and immediately requested a 2nd alarm. E-603 arrived and quickly went to work helping the crew from E-703 protect the exposures. Officer 615 (House) established "Maple Ave Command." After ensuring the the exposures were protected crews made an aggressive interior attack, until command requested a defensive attack due to the structure being unsafe. The crews from Tower 310 and Ladder 51-7 went to work with master stream devices, putting a knock on the remaining fire. Crews operated for approximately 3 hours and 50 minutes before clearing the call at 1324 hours. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Maryland State Fire Marshall's Office. **Members of GVFC would like to thank the Members of Goldsboro VFC Aux. for providing lunch after the call, and Ridgely VFC Canteen 4 for providing their services at Re-Hab**
